I am a seeker. I want to know myself at my essence and I am dedicated to that discovery. I believe the more I know my true self and let her free the more I am able to see you and meet you, in truth and love. Yoga is a path toward that discovery. Yoga to me is not separate from life. My yoga practice continues in my work as a intuitive bodyworker and somatic practioner.
My practice pushes me to look into every aspect of my life and take full responsibility for everything that seemingly happens to me. It pushes me to understand that life comes from me not at me. And that everything is a reflection of me. I believe in yoga as a healing path. My teachers are: John Friend, John Ruskell, Shannon Eddy, Tyler Langdale, Diana Vitantonio, my family, my friends… But truly, the more I practice the more I realize everything and everyone is my teacher. |

Biffy Cotter
I am inspired by Mother Teresa and have been called “Angel” by my yoga teachers. I had one student describe my class as “lovely torture,” and I thought to myself, “Yes,
that’s my class!” I support my students with unconditional love while they sweat it out on
their mat.
I found yoga in 2001 while facing some challenges in my life. Yoga gave me the courage
to follow my heart and listen to that small voice inside and actually do what it said! The
more yoga I do and study, the more I am constantly reminded to live life guided by my
heart and my intuition.
My training as a yoga teacher began with Zuda Yoga Center in 2008. In 2009 I trained
in Tibetan Heart Yoga where I fell in love with Buddhism. I continue to train with Tyler
Langdale, Diana Vitantonio, Kate Saal and John Friend.
My three children, Chad, Abigail and Anna teach me the most about yoga: to live in the
present moment, enjoy simple things, play daily, work some, express truth, let go of fear
and anger, patience, unconditional love, and acceptance.
I believe we are all connected thru our hearts, and that everyone has a gift and their own
path. My message is always the same: “Follow your heart.”

Lisa Tseu
As a runner and triathlete, Vinyasa yoga was a great find for me. I was used to feeling a physical edge, but the peace and spirit I feel on the mat were a welcome surprise. After a consistant practice of 3 years I decided to take a 200 hour teacher training. That is when my yoga off the mat became a daily part of my life! Yoga has given me philisophical, scientific and spiritual path to follow while letting go of all the veils that cover my true spirit.
Find your challenge in an urban style class, meeting your community and feeling peace and power inside and out. Yoga is action on and off the mat, finding your power, shining your light and living your truth.

Stephanie Mannon
Yoga found Stephanie in 2009 and she was hooked from day one, minute one. Growing up a dancer, being on her mat gave her the same feeling of inner peace and love that she felt while on her toes. Having recently moved from Florida, the moment she walked through the doors of the Yoga Shala, she knew she was home. Stephanie just completed the Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training at the Yoga Shala in November of 2011 and looks forward to many more, as she will always be a student first. She feels grateful for the many teachers she has had so far. A special thanks goes out to her parents, Christine Northcote, the Gumby Girls, Tyler Langdale, Gina Garcia, Annie Fox, and Biffy Cotter for all their guidance, support and encouragement. She seeks to make yoga practical and fun, and her teaching style is compassionate and light-hearted.
