Tree Pose Re-grounds
We live in a go, go, go society. When we are frenetically buzzing around, accomplishing tasks, running errands, driving to and from, our energy quickly rises to our heads. This over stimulates our mental activity and can result in a lack of feeling grounded. However, tree pose teaches us what it means to be a human being rather than a human doing! Tree poses reconnects us back to our roots; the heart, hips, legs, and feet become rich with energy that reground us back into our bodies and out of our minds.
Tree Pose Teaches Patience
It's inevitable that balancing can be different from day-to-day. Whether we are doing our best to balance all that is going on in our lives, or balancing in tree pose, getting it 'just right' on the first try, may not happen. When we wobble or fall out tree pose, it is just our bodies and minds asking us to be patient with ourselves and keep at it. Not getting it 'perfect' on the first attempt is part of the journey of personal growth.
Tree Pose Builds Confidence and Self-Esteem
It’s said that by practicing tree pose on a daily basis you’ll begin to embody a stronger sense of self. As this balancing posture cultivates physical and mental strength, you're rooting down into that source of connection, and feeling yourself standing tall and proud! Tree pose invokes a deep sense of pride with the expansiveness of the chest and the elevation of the crown of the head.
