I think the greatest way my yoga has changed over the years is that I put far fewer conditions on what I need to do it. In the beginning, I needed a studio, no less than 60 minutes, heat, a mat, music, a hard surface, water, blah, blah, blah. If these conditions weren’t met I “couldn’t” practice. What’s true is that you can always practice, you need nothing to practice other than your breath, body, and willingness. You don’t need a studio, a mat, a whole hour, or even a teacher every day, all you need to do is move and breathe and pay attention to what you feel outwardly and inwardly. 5 minutes every day is far better than 1 hour once a week. Begin today and then begin again tomorrow, drop the conditions and start grooving yogi. All you need is YOU.
