Moments when the cycle of life from birth to death and everything in between came to a screeching halt. When this happened there was no “right or wrong,” no feelings of separateness, no confusion or illusions. It was an energy field that existed by full entry of present moment. It was so beautiful that I cried.
Rumi talked about this. He said, “ Out beyond the ideas of rightdoing and wrongdoing, there is a field. I will meet you there.” This field which I have come to experience is when we enter into the present moment FULLY with our hearts. When life presents those moments of reality that hit right at the heart. Like when someone is having a baby or when someone is lying on their death bed, all the illusions melt away and your viewing life in the present moment from the heart.
We can experience the “field” in these moments. The field where all veils are lifted and boundaries broken, we go beyond the duality mind thinking and enter the present moment. The field is an energy field. It’s not some place “out there” that you need to get to. Thats the beauty of it, you can put yourself there anytime and anyplace.
This week I entered into the field, but only because I received news that a friend was on her death bed. I felt the field of loving energy encircle us and I went beyond time and space. My mom, sister and I felt the field down at the river when we saw a otter playing and jumping just a few yards from us. I talked with a yoga student who is pregnant at the grocery store and felt the field. I had a fire ceremony this week and yet had another experience of the field.
The point is, is that the field between right and wrong does exist and it’s a beautiful place to be. It’s always there available to enter at any time. Valentine’s Day is my favorite holiday because so many people drop into their hearts and the energy field that encircles feels so good!
Statistics predict that over half the US population will be participating in Valentine’s day gifts and the National Retail Foundation predicts $19.6 of spending for V Day. Thats a lot of people in their hearts, but these statistics also tells us there is more work to do. With just half the population in their hearts, that leaves half still living in their head.
I heard this from the world renown yoga teacher, Snatam Kaur, “When we drop into the field of Love there is no fear, and when there is no fear, there is no anger and when there is no anger, there is no hurt, and when there is no hurt, there is no pain. When there is no pain, then there is Peace and Love.”
Life is short! May we go beyond dualities, stay in our heart and meet each other often in the field of Love, not just on Valentines Day, but everyday.
God Bless you!
