Johanna Yungman

Yoga is a practice that transcends the superficial realm of the physical.  It does this while simultaneously using the body as a tool for a deep understanding of who we are and how we operate.  I have developed a passion for teaching Yoga due to the evolution of this understanding with my own body.  Practice is a opportunity to observe every nuance in our bones, muscle fibers, skin, and soul, and take that knowledge into a life that is powerfully embodied in self acceptance.  This is my work and what I share through the avenues of Kundalini and Yin Yoga. Come to class as you are, prepared for an experience with breath, body, and observation.

Kat Sun

First introduced to yoga in 1991, Kat has been committed to her personal yoga practice since 1996.  Since that time, she has explored many styles of yoga and studied with many wonderful teachers.  In 2011, Kat began studying Ayurveda (Vedic Science of Life) and Jyotish (Vedic Science of Light ~ Astrology), as well as painting mandalas, embracing the healing properties of essential oils, divine sound, embodied rituals and cultivating sacred space.  Today Kat offers public and private yoga instructions as an invitation to journey inwards and explore one’s own inner terrain.  Her classes weave together movement, breath, intention and awareness as a process for slowing down, unbinding, unwinding, feeling and reconnecting within oneself.  Her teachings are inspired by the flux and flow of life, the qualities of the 5 elements, the pulsating dance between Yin & Yang / Feminine & Masculine / Lunar & Solar / Earth & Heaven ~ that dwells within each of us ~ and our connection to Divine Source.  To learn more, please visit www.sholansun.com

Heather Roussos Yoga to me is freedom or Samadhi. Freedom from the need to fit in, or be seen, freedom from insecurity and self-doubt, it freed me from my false myself. Yoga helped me journey back into my own heart and learn how to live in my highest alignment. It taught me how to take care of myself and it really helped me learn that I am and always will be enough.   What I hope to help you understand through this beautiful practice we call yoga is that you are not only enough, but you are magnificent great falls, failures, and mistakes included. I hope that through yoga you find that place within you that I found within me. That place of truth, authenticity, and unconditional love. In my classes you can expect a challenging flow with lots of permission to rest, emphasis on your highest alignment, great music to get lost in, yogic philosophy to help you reflect and identify, and plenty of space to settle in and let go at the end. I cannot show you the depths of your own soul, but I can show you the path to find it yourself. http://heatherroussos.com

Donna Dowson Growing up as a dancer Donna fell in love with the flow and grace of Vinyasa and Ashtanga when she first discovered yoga.  The constant challenge of physical, mental and spiritual balance has kept her coming back ever since.  She loves that there is a yoga practice out there for anyone who is willing to try.  She started teaching yoga so she could help students discover the beauty of the breath, the ease of movement and the acceptance of self and others that yoga offers.  Always emphasizing the practice of honoring the body’s current state of being through ahimsa (non-violence), students are guided by Donna to explore all the possibilities yoga has to improve the health and well-being of mind, body and spirit.  Her classes are fun, energetic and aimed at helping you find balance in your practice on and off the mat. When you come to a class with Donna, you will be met right where you are, and move through a mindfully-flowing yoga sequence that is creative, fun, and challenging without being overwhelming. You'll learn anatomy and alignment cues to make all your yoga poses more effective and amazing, no matter what style you usually practice. Her classes often involve energetic sequences but also incorporate stillness in order to quiet the mind.  Her welcoming teaching style, energy, love, & passion for yoga will keep you coming back for more!  Get ready to feel empowered, fit, and energized to move your lessons off the mat and transform your body, mind and life from the inside out!

John Florian Teaching since 2009, John’s approach starts with the breath, then focuses on keeping the body safe through emphasis on personal alignment, encouraging each student to modify poses as needed to avoid injury. While encouraging rest when needed, his classes challenge both body and brain through vigorous and dynamic sequences to allow students plenty of opportunity for growth. As a massage therapist and student of anatomy, he adds his knowledge of the body into his sequencing and alignment suggestions. He has witnessed yoga’s ability to heal the body, mind, and soul in himself and his students over the years. His quirky sense of humor and eclectic musical taste add a fun twist to his classes. John started his practice as a way to counter a stiff and flabby body due to his sedentary life. Thinking that yoga was all about stretching, he was surprised at the amount of strength and discipline the practice required. With effort and dedication to the practice, he eventually reconnected with his toes - and himself.

Elise Wallace After 8 years teaching middle school English, I left the classroom when I welcomed my daughter and greatest teacher  into the world. I have since combined two of my greatest passions - educating youth and sharing the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga. Yoga has been a faithful friend to me since my mom took me to my first class back in high school. During my pregnancy, I explored the many ways to modify my practice to accommodate my changing body, prepare for labor & delivery, and find fitness, community, and sanity in motherhood.
