New to Yoga

  • Choose the yoga class style which suits your needs… Vinyasa is sweaty and energizing. Hatha Flow is slow and grounding. Yin is restorative and meditative.

  • Reserve your spot in the class you would like to take by clicking “Sign Up Now” on the Shala schedule, follow the instructions to make a Shala Mindbody account online and book your class. We have 2 studio locations, one in Arden area and in Midtown. The intro special is good for both location schedules.

  • Beginners, all ages and body types are welcome 

  • If you have any specific limitations or injuries, please let the teacher know before the class

  • Bring a water bottle, a yoga mat, and towel

  • Dress in comfortable workout attire 

  • There is one bathroom in which you can change  

  • Place your belongings in the cubbies 

  • Set your mat up in the middle or the back of the room  

  • Embrace “The Beginner’s Mind” and have fun 

  • Remember to breathe, the most important aspect to any pose is deep breathing 

  • Rest is encouraged any time during the class 

Yin and Hatha Flow classes are 78 degrees
Vinyasa classes are 85-90 degrees
