 Tune Up Your Active Body: Physical Therapy infused with Love

This 3 part series focuses on self care techniques implementing myofascial release with the aid of therapy tools. The human body is a miracle in motion, until it’s not. Injuries, genetics, habitual ways we sit, stand, work, sleep all create challenges. And these troubles compound as the years accumulate. This is the norm. Neck and shoulder, back and hip, knees and feet share very common and often easily treatable patterns of pain and dysfunction.

Physical therapist Bella Dreizler has been helping patients heal more than 50 years. Join her for this self-empowering Tune Up series or drop in to a single session. More info here

There are (3) therapy tools used in this process, and they will be available in class for trial use and purchase.

  1. 3 foot foam roller: when it comes to myofascial release, using correct density, so important. Bring your own and know that four densities will be available for you to try.

  2. 4 inch smooth ball: best tool for psoas release and gentle exploration of problem areas. Psoas release, strength, length and asymmetries will be a major focus.

  3. Wrapped tennis balls (2 pair): a gift to you so you can go deeper if you are ready and access the sticky soft tissue below the knee and between elbow and hand.

Jan 13th from 12-2pm:

Foam Rolling: Release fascia in neck, shoulder, back, hip, legs. Introduction to core power. Stretch out tight lower body muscles. Roller density is key to success. Rollers available to trial/purchase; bring your own 3 foot roller if you have one.

Jan 20th from 12-2pm:

Ball Rolling: Quick review foam rolling. Fascia release with soft balls and double tennis balls. Focus on release, tone, length, asymmetry of central psoas. Balls and rollers available to trial/purchase. Bring your own massage balls and roller if you have.

Jan 27th from 12-2pm:

Tune Up: Foam roller and massage ball techniques to create a body loose, long and strong. Special focus on releases for ankle/foot challenges. Bring your own rollers and balls; some will be available for trial/purchase.
