Annie Fox
ERYT 200 

Annie has worked in the healing arts her entire adult life. For the past 20 years, She has been working with clients supporting them on their healing journey and offering guidance and encouragement during life’s transitions and challenges. She is an intuitive healer, body worker and yoga teacher. She is the co-owner of Yoga Shala Sacramento and for over 10 years has been teaching yoga, workshops, leading yoga teacher trainings and Radical Retreats all over the world. Her work as a yoga teacher is to help foster a deeper relationship between the student and their bodymind. The body talks and holds infinite wisdom and refuge if we can learn to listen and trust its messages. She believes her role as the teacher is to hold space for that profound relationship to occur. She holds a bachelor’s degree in somatic psychology from Naropa University and has countless hours in yoga training, bodywork modalities, trauma therapy, reiki, cranial sacral therapy, somatic practices and in depth studies in spirituality of where the body and psyche meet. She is first and foremost a student and is dedicated to her own transformation and ongoing evolution. She is a mother to a beautiful soul, Gabriel, and has been absolutely inspired through the journey of motherhood.

Biffy Fox Cotter
ERYT 200 

For over 2 decades Biffy has been on a spiritual journey that has led to an awakening. Her journey began with yoga. With this awakening she receives healing energy, visions and guidance from Spirit and Angels. Biffy is a certified yoga teacher and shamanic healer.

She began following the unknown path of Soul-led and Spirit-guided ways of life many years ago. Biffy says that the woman she is today was shaped by taking deep dives into teacher training. Whether you want to teach yoga or not, yoga teacher training will enhance your life!

Biffy has had many inspiring teachers along the way including Sharon Gannon, David Life, Jonas Westring, Thich Nhat Hanh, Jana Din, Joyti Ma, and her mom Carol Fox MFT, who has been leading groups for decades and helping families heal.

Biffy’s connection to Spirit is unique to her way of teaching yoga. She teaches classic hatha postures, meditations and breath work that opens energy channels to the universal field of energy.

Biffy is a shamanic healer seeing clients individually and offers drum circles and yoga retreats during auspicious times of the year.

Tyler Langdale
ERYT 500 

Tyler has been teaching yoga for over 13 years. In addition to his international yoga studies, Tyler was a collegiate All American Athlete (swimming at Principia College), and was the head coach for both swimming and water polo programs in Sacramento. He also has an in-depth understanding of the body, having completed a 700 hour Massage Therapy Training Course in 2004, and had a full time massage therapy practice, until he opened Yoga Shala Sacramento in 2011. Tyler has been able to create successful businesses based from the skills he's developed through his studies, his love of working with people, and his dedication to holistic health.

  • Full Function and form of asana, how it works in the body

  • Sequencing, how you build an effective set of postures that feels good

  • Anatomy and physiology

  • Healing through yoga

  • Pranayama, learn how to breath and open the body through breathing practices

  • Learn how to relax, reset and recharge your body with knowledge of styles of yoga -yin, hatha, vinyasa

  • Develop your authentic healthy practice for your body type

  • Share and teach the practice with others. Know how to teach a classes from 10 min. to a full 1 hour class

Spirit

  • Energy Body, Chi, Meridians

  • Unblocking energy, getting energy flowing

  • Learn the Chakra System, how chakras relate to the emotions and organs, balance the chakras

  • Explore depths of the Heart and the Laws of the Universe

  • Strengthening and trusting your intuition

  • Development daily rituals and gratitude practices, journaling

  • Power of music, how to use music in a class, heart opening chants

  • The art of communication: learning how to share your voice, authentically, powerfully and directly

  • The art of "holding Space" and clear conscious boundaries

  • Becoming natural to silence, and the act of being

  • Practicing yoga and meditation in nature

Self exploration & Self inquiry

Diving into and exploring who you are and what you're made of. Through the practice of svadyaya (self study) we will explore core beliefs, mental & emotional filters (our lens of perception), what holds us back and liberates us.

Why are we here? What do we want our legacy to be? What gives our life meaning? What is the vision for ourself and our life?
