In contrast to the more popular, dynamic styles of yoga, true Restorative yoga invites you to bask in support and calmness. Here, we invite stillness, and are wholly present to body and mind. Dedicated time spent in this way promotes deep tension release and healing.
Come for a blissful afternoon of rest and renewal, a welcome respite from the busy-ness of life. The practice will offer yoga postures in which your body will be fully supported by props, including bolsters, blankets, sandbags and eye pillows. You will be in a beautiful, warm, safe, quiet environment. Without the physical sensation of stretch, pull or challenge, you can rest in the quiet of renewal, and emerge relaxed and recharged.
This practice promotes balance, is suitable for all, and especially recommended for those who have a busy, frenetic life, gravitate toward loud or high intensity activities, experience insomnia, irritability, noisy brain, or are recovering from an injury, illness or surgery.
If you tend to “do,” here’s your opportunity to just “be.”
