Yoga Nidra with Essential Oils

  • Yoga Shala Arden 4397 Arden Way Sacramento, CA, 95864 United States (map)

with Lisa Fitzpatrick

Rest and Restore

Lay down. Let go. Silence the mind. Rest the body.

This workshop will guide you through the ancient practice of yoga nidra. This method of guided relaxation is practiced in the lying position that systematically guides one into a state of conscious deep relaxation.

In this state, the body and mind are deeply connected through the parasympathetic nervous system allowing the body to recharge and rejuvenate. One hour of practice provides the rest of four hours sleep and awakens the healing intelligence of the body.

Yoga Nidra benefits include:

  • Soothing the autonomic nervous system

  • Enhancing mental focus and attention span

  • Improving creativity and whole brain functioning

  • Giving you more ease and peace of mind in daily life

  • Helping create new neural pathways in your brain which can support healthy habits & routines

Yoga Nidra relaxation is very easy and you can enjoy the benefits after one session. No experience necessary.

Attendees will use the following props: yoga mat, blanket, pillows or bolster, bring extra pillows and blankets if you would prefer to use your own

$30

Lisa Fitzpatrick

A bit about me: I am a RYT 200 and have been teaching since 2018. My yoga journey started when I was on a break from ballet. I started ballet at the age of 35 as it was always something I wanted to do. I thought yoga was just about stretching. The first class I took (Bikram) proved wrong. As I spent more time taking classes, yoga became so much more about the mind and soul, which was needed as I work full time in the addiction field. I love to bake, cook, work in my yard and spend time with my cats (and husband).
