Come, all you who call yourselves Elders! Join Carol Fox, MFT, (Annie & Biffy's Mom) in exploring what it means to be an Elder and what we need in order to lead a meaningful life. We will explore how we can be a voice to the issues that we see as important.
How do you know if you are an Elder? If you are launching or trying to launch your adult youngest child, if you are planning to put down the toiling rake, if you have buried the rake, if you have a life story to share, if you are in your 6th decade or above, or you are ready to dance with the spirit, you are an elder! You who are a bit dangerous, a bit unpredictable, or a bit outrageous, come, find others who are of like spirit!
We will meet Baba Yaga, the quintessential of all Elders, in our first meeting and we will study other great Elders in history, Folklore and Mythology along the way. We will focus on the importance of self care and how to live gracefully as we put down the roles that no longer fit.
The group will meet at Yoga Shala Arden, on the first Tuesday of every month, 12 PM to 1:30 PM. We will also be sitting on the floor using back- jacks, so if you prefer to sit on a chair, you are welcome to bring a folding chair or a camp-like chair.
Cost: $5 per session
